<strong><em>Ce qu'on en dit</em></strong><br><br>
Voici les premières chroniques parues sur le nouvel album d'Odran, "Mutants and Loonies".<br><br>

<strong>Les inrockuptibles</strong> : "de ses indociles excapades, cet ancien CQFD a conservé un goût pour les itinérarires-bis, le chemin des écoliers, voire des cancres : souvent proche de quelques empêcheurs de folker en rond (de Beck à Adam Green), il joue ainsi en lo-fi châtoyante et luxuriante une sorte de psychédélisme où les effets pyrotchniques seraient remplacés par des astuces d'arrangements, des inventions excentriques de Concours Lépine (on jure avoir entendu dans ce labyrinthe en Lego du kazoo ou du chien crevé). L'album s'appelle Mutant & Loonies, soit "mutants et foutraques". Ce titre ne ment pas."<br><br>

<strong>A découvrir absolument </strong>: "Mutants and loonies, œuvre complète et compacte est à l'image de "springtime girl" un disque non pas bancal mais sans cesse à la recherche du grain de sable pour faire tomber le château de carte comme une botte de mikado (même moi j'en perds mon français). "Trespassers" et "mayonnaise" complètent le tableau de cette tour de Babel qui prend racine plus de trente ans en arrière donnant de jolis fruits rigolos. Une vraie confirmation.<br><br>
<br><br>
<strong>La Magic box</strong> : "On aime la nonchalance des mélodies (Homesick), les haltes calmantes (Secret island) et les délires bien assumés (The Dutchman sorte de folk-garage de derrière les fagots). C'est bien, un songwriter qui ne respecte pas benoîtement les grands anciens mais qui crée par-dessus sa propre alchimie."<br><br>
<br><br>
<strong>Le réservoir</strong> : "C'est ainsi au travers de morceaux comme "Dead language" ou "The Dutchman", simples folksongs, qui à la manière de Pavement, chavirent au fur et à mesure dans des délires apocalyptiques positifs, que l'album trouve sa force."<br><br>
<br><br>
